We got a new student the other day whose home language is German. She has been in the States for six years and received ESL support in Detroit her first year. There is nothing in her file regarding test scores or English proficiency, but she is taking all honors classes and doing very well. Do we still have to give her the ELPA screener for FLEP follow up?
